Becoming
There is more to this
At some point in our lives, we sit back and reflect on what we have done, accomplished and the fruit it has brought forth. Some begin to question life and seek more because they are unfulfilled. This is where I was, questioning my life and yearning for something other than the mundane. Like most, I went to the source, the God almighty Elohim. As I pursed God he revealed to me my calling and showed me who I was; and for the first time, I felt free because he gave me purpose. My life changed and I begin to study the word, pray and make time to sit with God. During this time, he took me on a journey and gave me instructions (Psalms 37:23-24). The instructions led me to a path of who I am called to be but becoming that person was a different story. To truly walk in what he has for me it would require me to step into it.
What did God say
The person that God showed me was unrecognizable and when I got to the point of no return I froze. He had taken me somewhere where it felt bigger than I could have imagined. My initial thoughts were, Lord, are you sure? Did I hear you right? My mind ventured off to other opportunities, and I kept trying to convince myself that I would get to it eventually; that the time was not right, or the resources were not there. Little did I know that the voice inside me was running because I did not receive his words. I had not yet changed the image of who I was. To become means you must die to the old you. This is why Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:31 “I die daily”, here he speaks about letting the old version of you die and be led by the spirit and not the flesh. The bible also talks about our minds, in Romans 12:2, the passage talks about the renewal of your mind. Renewing your mind is changing your thoughts; rebuilding it so that it matches what God has spoken. When you walk in your true, authentic self then everything is drawn to you because you are vibrating on a frequency that recognizes you.
Stepping Out (The ledge)
Renewing your mind takes work. It is not something that happens overnight. Sure, the first step is your “yes” but then you must make it happen. When we partner with God he will do all he says he will, but you have to do your part as well. You may be wondering, what does that look like? If I could sum it up it would look like someone jumping off a ledge. Taking a step of faith and becoming the version of you that walks in power is a big leap! However, it is fulfilling and everything that you could imagine it would be. When you take the leap, it will open doors of opportunity, and you will receive favor. Like a magnet you will be pulled into places and spaces because you are walking in purpose. If this resonates with you, continue on your journey and trust God that he will do all he has said (proverbs 3:5-6). We called for more than the life that we live and taking that leap does not just move you forward but it blesses those around you. Be a part of something that is transformational, when you are moving as the body of Christ than you touch lives all around the world. You are authentically made and no one can do what you do, step into your purpose and help others do it too.
